Chinese dish that can be made with beef or pork mince. The dish is thought to have originated in the Sichuan province of China, and is often served as a street food. The noodles are typically made from wheat flour, and the sauce contains soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and chilli oil. Dan Dan noodles can be served with a variety of toppings, including green onions, peanuts, and sesame seeds.
Beef Dan Dan Noodles are my favourite! they are super easy to make and so delicious. I love the beef mince in them and the chili oil gives them a great kick. if you have never tried Dan Dan noodles, I highly recommend them, they are so quick and tasty!
Here is my recipe for Beef Dan Dan Noodles:
Beef or Pork Mince
light soy
chinese cooking wine
oyster sauce
Chinese 5 spice
fresh garlic or garlic paste
chilli flakes
chilli powder
brown sugar
soy sauce
sesame paste or tahini
hot oil
Add the soy sauce, Chinese cooking wine, oyster sauce and Chinese 5 spice to the beef or pork mince and cook until brown.
Heat up some oil to pour over fresh garlic or garlic paste, chilli flakes, chilli powder, and brown sugar. Then mix in sesame paste and add soy sauce to taste.
To serve, add the noodles to a bowl and top with the beef mixture. Add your hot oil sauce then garnish with toppings, such as green onions, peanuts, or sesame seeds. enjoy!
